LAUNCH OF AILANI – A KNOWLEDGE SEARCH ENGINE FOR SMART ANSWERS
Biomax has recently announced the launch of a new semantic search engine for the life science industry at the Biodata Word Congress in Basel from 4-5 December 2019.
The search engine, called AILANI (Artificial Intelligence LANguage Interface), is a software solution on enterprise-level that helps users find answers to various questions quickly and efficiently, gain in-depth background knowledge and, based on this, accelerate innovation cycles significantly. AILANI combines semantic modeling, ontologies, linguistics and artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. The results are based on interrelated meanings of facts. Queries can be expressed in natural language, so AILANI recognizes the original intention and puts the results in context.

BIOMAX DATA MINING SPECIALIST VISCOVERY PUBLISHES NEW SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES
The collaboration of lung researchers at the CIRO + Expertise Centre for Chronic Organ Failure and data scientists at Viscovery, a subsidiary of Biomax, has resulted in three new scientific papers in recent months. The articles focus on:
- the predictability of lung function improvement from the lung function profile prior to rehabilitation
- the connection between disease-specific comorbidity clusters in COPD patients and accelerated aging and
- the clustering of around 27 million US death records to derive implications for palliative care.
All three articles have been published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine and can be downloaded from from the Viscovery website.
